And it has been proved that the League competitive spirit of a match keeps people turning out regularly and punctually, while in alf Friendly" cricket people get Black about February.
This is all wrong but it is very human, with auch short hours (you can play from two to seven p.m. at Home, and I maintain that the League here is an institution which, while indefensible in theary, has proved in practise to be in the best interests of the game.

drawn matches this season, though several games ended in small ma jorities of one, two, and even three of having gained the possible score of eight in one head, this fest was repeated by Skip Muskett in his Club's fourth match this season, This, however, occuried before the offer of whisky souvenirs. Looking through the statistics, an outstand ing feature is the number of skips who have at various times during the senson served for the same
Club. This is more pronounced in the junior division, where one Club bad as many as nine skips. Only two Clubs, both in the senior division, played the same skips, these being Civil Service (Skips Grimmitt, Taylor and Brown) and Club de Recreio (Skips Luz, Ribeiro and Yvanovich). Another important feature is that the suc cess of the Clubs who have finished at the top of the two divisions has been mainly due to the efforts of one winning rink. Craigengower Club are indebted to Baga's rink, which faished 118 shots up, losing only two out of the fourteen games by a few shots. Kowloon Dock's four skips were all to the good in the end, but the best was Skip Pun- cheon's rink, which took part in thirteen games," losing only two and bowing a majority of 70 shots. Turning to the junior divi sion, Walmsley's rink also set a record score of 100 shots" up for Taikoo. Archibald's rink (48 up) and Haynes' rink (30 up) were the most valuable for the Civil Ser- vice. Warren's rink (03 up) was the mainstay of the Kowloon Bowl ing Green Club, and Skip Bell who came in latterly helped in negotiat ing several bad corners.
