Stainfield was then introduced to the gather ing, and distributed the prizes won in the tournaments held during the season, at the afternoon's sports, and the souvenir spoons given to the winners in the jawn bowls. A silver vase with flowers was then presented to Mrs. Stainfield as a memento of the occasion.

Continuing. Mr. Wylie said that the Club commenced to play bowis in 1920, and since then they have won the championship 1923, rum ners-up in 1924 and 1928; won the Spey Cup in 1920, runners-up in 1927;
the Colony's singles championship twice, Omar in 1923 and Green in 1924, Omar also being runner-up in 1928. This proved that Craigengower was a good bowling Club. Probably it was the atmosphere of Happy Valley which "made for good bowling, consistent practice, or the red danger, signs which they put up when they receive "visitors" (Laughter.) —
Mrs. Wylie then presented to Mr. Basa the League shield and flag. amid loud applause.

Encouraged by the performance against the Chinese R.C. last Satur- day, the Diocesan Boys' School com- bined themselves with the other cricket teams of the Schools and once again met the Chinese at Causeway Bay..
However, their success was small, for the Chinese who batted first had complied 173 runs with the foss of the third wicket; after which they decided to declare, T. E. Teob and M. C. The Queen's team batted extreme-
well, but failed to reset their objective by 40 runs. Froof of their determination will be found in the score, which shows a total of 193 runs for the first seven wickets. Kelly bowled very well, and took the last thrco wickets for a very small gure; thus ending the Queen's chances of winning. He took six wickets for 34 runs; he is a new player for the Civil Service XI., having formerly turned out for the Hong Kong Electric team.
