WINNING.
SATURDAY'S BIG PRO- GRAMME..
There was a big tennis programme on Saturday, no fewer than twelve matches being decided, while there was one yesterday. A great deal' of interest was taken and the keen ness of the Clubs showed no falling off, despite the fact that the Chi- ness Recreation Club teams are almost certain of securing the Shields again this year in all three divisions.
In the principal match of the day, the Chinese Recreation Club
beat the Club de Recreio in the "B" Division on their opponents' courts at King's Park. The result was not unexpected in view of the Chinese Club's recent performances. but the Portuguese failed to put up any struggle. Not one of their three pairs registered the average number of games and they failed as badly as other clubs to extend the Chinese. The position of the Chinese Recreation Club in the "B" Division as leaders in the Table is stronger than before. They bave won all their matches and.
