The Harbour Office returns for the 24 hours ended at @ alm. yester day showed that out of 15 arrivals, only four steamers carried freights for ports beyond the Colony The tatai tonnage, carried was far below the average. Local imports, how ever, were unusually heavy,

The total tonnage entered for this port amounted to 21,402 tons These were contributed by 12 vessels out of the 15 arrivals. Three Bri- tish ships accounted for 4,055 tons.. "The two best returns were 3,850 tons by the French steamer Linchow from Haiphong and Boihow, and 3.500 tons by the British ship Apney from Bangkok.
