Amongst those present at yester. day morning's gallops were Mr. Ho Kam Tong and Chan Tin Sang. et the Yuen Fat Hong, who is the owner of Shan Mein and is interest- Ped in a couple of subscription griffins. Mr. E. C. Rock, the popu- lar manager of the Jockey Club Stables, is much missed in the early mornings and it is hoped that he will soon be sufficiently recovered Erom his indisposition to be able to take his accustomed place in the racing world.

Playing on the Happy Valley ground in a friendly game, the Clab beat the Northants by, a gcal and two tries (11 points) to a goal (3 points)..

Tae game, opened in the Club half, but after ten minutes' play, the Club pressed the Northants back and Bichard got over near the Posts Lammert 'failed to convert.
