SUCCESSFUL VOYAGE OF ROUND- THE WORLD MOTOR VESSEL.
The Motership (New York) has some interesting particulars with regard to the maiden voyage of the Prince Line's Malayan Prince from New York rid the Far East, the Suez Canal and back again oo New York.
The Kalayan Prince was constructed by the Deutsche Werfs, Hamburg, and is driven by two sets of eight-cylinder B. and W type ginos supplied by the A.E.G. Company, and developing a total horse-power of 8,400. On her trials in light condition the ship attained a speed of nearly 18 knots, but her service speed is 14 to 14h knots.
