A report made to the Harbour Office' during the weak-end by the master of the B., & Danish steamer, stated that on arriving in port on Saturday at 6 p.m., the vessel went aground for half an hour, off the Kowloon Wharves. The dia is owned by the East Asiatic Co., and the local agents are John Manners

Co., The Aria has à registered tonnage of 4,460, and her draft forward" is 29 feet and aft 30 feet:

Dangerous goods manifested in yester- under. Asia day's returns were (Danish) 80 tons of chlorate of potash; President Grint (American) from Manila 4t cases of ammunition.

The total number of deck passengers entered for the twenty-four hours ended ata.m. yesterday was 182, of which the s.s. Hai Ning (British) from Foochow and Amoy carried 112

The master of the s.s. President Graat (American) from Manila, reported to the Harbour Office that there was one case of tuberculosis on board.

The sal ing (British) From Foo- chow and Amoy, reported strong gale and a rough sea during her voyage to Hongkong.

The master of the 8.9. Soda Maru Rangoon "Maru, Japanese str, 5,63, tons; | (Japanese) from Yokohama and Shang- Capt. K. Sato, from Calcuttn and hai, reported to the Harbour Office that Singapore. The latter port she left there was one casualty between Shanghai on. September 8th, with a general and Hongkong, the nature of which was cargo, lying at Kowloon Wharf-not stated. N.L.K.

Dangerous goods manifested in later returna yesterday, included-3,457 enses and Si drums of arak, and 3 drums of turpentine on the Tjikini from Tatavia and Balikpapan; and 10 cases of safety on the fungoon Maru for matches Yokohama.
