The master of the ss. Macedonia (British) from Yokohama and Shanghai, reported to the Harbour Office yesterday that there was A case of pulmonary tuberculosis on board.
The total number of deck passengers entered for the twenty-four hours ended at 9 am yesterday was 689, of which the 5.5. lydrangea (British) from Kwang Chow, Wan, carried £03.
The as. Brazilier, which arrived from Martanzas on Thursday afternoon with a cargo of sugar for the Taikoo Sugar Re- finery, was the first ship of Belgian re- gistry to enter the port of Hongkong for many months past.
Quarantine restrictions have been im- pored against arrivals from Tsingtao on account of cholera.
The local office of the Admiral Oriental line has been advised that the La Presi dent Grant left the port of Shanghai on September 1st bound for Hongkong, and is due here to-day at daylight, with pas- sengers, cargo and American mail for discharge.
The .3. Feat Kader of the Oregon Oriental line, is expected to arrive from Manila this morning with cargo and probably Manila mail. She will be de- spateked by her local agents for her re- tura trip to Portland, vid Kobe, Nagoya, and Yokohama on September 5th, at p.m.

The Shipping Board" bas designated th extenmer West O'Rown as ranking first in the Government fleet operated on the Pacific Ocean by the Columbia-Pacific Shipping Company. The rating, which is for the last six months of 1923, gives the West O'Raua efficiency honours.

SHIPPING MOVEMENTS.
The R.M.S. Empress of Russia arrived at Nagasaki on September 2nd at 4.30 p.m., left that port yesterday at 8 a.m., and is due at Weosuing at 0 o'clock this morning. She leaves for Hongkong at 5 o'clock to-night.
The s.3. Tahunba (B.1. and Apcar Line), left Singapore for Hongkong or the 2nd inst., and is due here on the morning of the 7th inst.
The E. & A. Co.'s 8.8. St. Albana left Manila for Hongkong on afternoon of 3rd inst., with the outward Australian mails, and due to arrive here on the 6th inst., at about daylight..
