making it quite unsuitable for some time for passenger use. Even in cargo boats it has certain disadvantages, for it damages many articles of cargo, and no! cannot be used until the holds are empty- This is a serious disadvantage wan plague-infected ships have to be dealt with.
Scientists have discovered that hydro- cyanic acid gas is free from all these dis- advantages, and is even more effective for killing rata 1 dos nos hanage turni. ture, fittings, or cargo, and clears nway rapidly, leaving no smell behind. But it is ratremely poisonous, and has little smell to give warning of its presence.
