The new steamship Monmouth owned by the Chinn-American Line, sailed, on May 1st on her maiden voyage from New York, to Hongkong, by way of the Panama. Canal. The Moamouth is 373 feet long, his feet lean and has a deadweight ton- age of 8800 She has accommodations for 800 passengers, is manned "by, Chinese crew and is the first Chinese com- bination fright and passenger vessel to mail from New York.
