Professor Baysung HSU, JP
Professor Hsu is Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Professor of Physics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He obtained his PhD degree in fibre and polymer physics in 1958 at the University of Manchester and held a number of research appointments in the United Kingdom before being appointed Professor of Physics in 1964 at the Chinese University. He is member of numerous academic and administrative committees and is one of the longest serving professors at the Chinese University.
Dr Helmut. SOHMEN
Dr Sohmen is a former member of the Legislative Council. A well-known local businessman, he is Chairman of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce. In 1986 he became Chairman of the Council of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. His time in office has seen the Academy assume a major role in Hong Kong's cultural development.

Mr Haider Hatim Tyebjee BARMA, JP
Mr Barma joined the Hong Kong Government Service in 1966 and is now Director of Regional Services. His early government career ная spent in Tsuen Wan when the district was developing into a new town. Other significant appointments have included Assistant Secretary for Economic Services, Assistant Director of Home Affairs and Deputy Secretary for the Civil Service. As Assistant Director of Home Affairs and later Deputy Secretary for District Administration, he was closely involved in the evolution of
evolution of the present three-tier representative government in Hong Kong.
