OBE (Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire)

The Honourable LAU Wah-sum,

JP

Mr Lau has been a member of the Legislative Council since 1988. He has been involved in public service for many years and was a member of the Provisional Hospital Authority, chairing its Finance Committee. He has also been a member of the Housing Authority, chairing its Building Committee and Establishment and Finance Committee. In addition, he is Chairman of the Board of Governors and Council, Hong Kong Baptist College and has been closely associated with the planning of the new University of Science and Technology.

The Honourable David LI Kwok-po, JP

Mr Li has been a member of the Legislative Council since 1985, serving on several OMELCO standing panels, sub-committees and ad-hoc groups covering a wide range of subjects. He is the Chief Executive of the Bank of East Asia and Chairman or member of a number of committees and associations in the banking sector. He has also been closely involved with social work in Hong Kong,

work in Hong Kong, having served on number of charitable and welfare groups in various capacities.

Mr James 80 Yiu-cho, JP

Mr So joined the Hong Kong Government service in 1962 and has held a number of posts. He spent the early years of his career dealing with squatter problems. His more recent posts have included Commissioner for Transport and Secretary for Administrative Services and Information. He became Director of Urban Services in 1989 and has been responsible for meeting rising demands for sports and recreational facilities and measures to improve environmental hygiene.
