Mr. LI Wai

Mr. LI Wai was promoted to a senior N.C.O. post two

years ago after 20 years in the ranks of Fireman and Senior Fireman. He has served with distinction in many active operational areas and for the last 8 years as N.C.O. in command or 2 i/c of

fire crews. His performance has been highly meritorious and

significantly contributed to the saving of many lives and much property from fire and other calamities. As a member of the

voluntary underwater diving unit of the Fire Services he has

performed many difficult and dangerous tasks. He was awarded the Queen's Commendation in 1967 for diving inside a gas filled tank in search of a person.

BADGE OF HONOUR

Mr. CHAU How-chen

Promotes recreation and sports activities for youth in

Tsuen Wan. A Member of the District Advisory Board and Civil Aid

Services Zone Commander; a director of Yan Chai Hospital 1977/79

and now Vice-Chairman,

Mr. CHEUNG Kuen

A member of Tai Po District Advisory Board 1977/79 and of the North District Advisory Board from 1979 to date. Chairman of Shek Wu Hui Chamber of Commerce and a supporter of the Scouts, St. John's Ambulance, Clansmen Association and many other community

organisations.

Mr. CHEUNG Lai-ping

Chairman of the Lower Wong Tai Sin Area Committee and

particularly active in the social welfare field, especially for the aged, and in promoting neighbourliness and concern for the

environment.
