Softball's Junior Loop Title Series Matches Start This Sunday

While the Senior Leaguers are still grappling for playoff berths, the Black- hawks and Dragons, leaders in the Blue and Gold sections of the minor Joop, tangle on Sunday at 12.30 p.m. to inaugurate the title series.

The Hawks, who were champions last year after wresting the Ernie Hearther Trophy from the Rexes and Jaguars in a three-way fight, will take up the challenge once more after trampling over all opposition in their division of the league.

The Dragons, too, have waited; warming up on weekdays beyond

The Colony Snooker Championship League has been won by the Club Lusitano by virtue of the fact that they had won more matches than Eastorn Athletic Association although both teams finished the season having won and lost an identical number of frames.

The ultimate destination of The Ruttonjce Shield was held in suspense until the last match, due to the fact that the two leading clubs were in a position to benefit by any error which might have been made by the other.

1951 has been, a very successful season and it ia hoped that this tournament will receive even greater sup- port when the shield is again contested for during the season 1951-1952.

Outstanding players in this year's competition were:-
