TO RESCUE AND WAY FOR K.C.C.'s BRADBURY SHINES
BOTH CRAIGENGOWER AND RECREIO “A”, WHO AS USUAL ARE HAVING A CLOSE FIGHT FOR THE LEADERSHIP IN THE WERE PREMIER DIVISION OF THE LAWN BOWLS LEAGUE, AMONGST THE WINNERS LAST SATURDAY, BUT BY VIRTUE OF THEIR WIN ON SUNDAY THE CHAMPIONS ARE AGAIN AT THE TOP OF THE TABLE.
Craigengower won on Saturday by two rinks to one against Bowling Green “A”, conquerors of the champions on the previous Saturday, at Austin Road, while Recreio “A” beat Bowling Green "B" by 21⁄2 rinks to 1⁄2, this game also being played at Austin Road.
It looked at one stage as though K.B.G.C. might pull off a victory, but things took a very definite turn in favour of the visitors after tea, thanks mainly to the fine form shown by U. M. Omar's four (A. M. Omar, K. M. Omar and R. Basa) and some excellent bowling by Bradbury.
