MR. WYNNE JONES' COMMENT
That the method employed in England, where Magistrates were empowered to endorse or suspend Heences for serious branches of Traffic Regulations, was the best for dealing with cases where driv- ers failed to stop after accidents, whether fatal or not, was com- mented on by Mr. Wynne-Jones in the Central Police Court this morning.
His Worship pointed out that in Hong Kong, Magistrates were not given that power, and could only make recommendations for the cancellation or suspension of a licence. He was of the opinion that It was only right that a motorist's licence be suspended for any misuse of it.
