A remarkable secret concern ing the United States shipbuild- ing plans was inadvertently dis- closed yesterday when the Senate Committees were discussing the London Naval Treaty.

Fireman Fatally Injured on the Compeigne,

An accident, resulting in the death of a firemas occurred on the French steamer Compeigne in Colombo Harbour. Abdul Moham- ed, aged 45 years, was caught in the propeller shaft and whirled round, sustaining multiple in- juries. He was attended to by the ship's surgeon before his removal to hospital, where he died a few hours later.
An inquest was held by the City Coroner. Sub-Inspector E. W. Tit- combe, of the Harbour Palice, said that from Inquiries made the ac- cident was due to the deceased's rashness in leaning over the shaft. A verdict of accidental death was returned.
