New York, March 11. James Braddock won over Jimmy Slattery by a technical knock-out in the ninth round of a scheduled 10-round battle here -to-night,

26. CASES AND 51 DEATHS IN A WEEK

The official return of small-pox for the week ended March 16 shows that 26 cases were. notified, besides 51- deaths. Of the former 12 were from the Victoria district, eight from Kowloon, five from Shaukiwan, and one from Aberdeen. One case was British and the rest Chinese.

Yesterday eleven cases

were re- ported-eight from. Victoria and three from Kowloon. All were Chinese.
