BILLIARDS RUBBER.

SHANGHAI AND HONG KONG INTERPORT.

PORTUGUESE CUEISTS.

Arrangements are being made for an interport billiards match between the Portuguese of Shang- hai and of Hong Kong, to be hold at the Club Lusitano during the latter half of March,

These contests were first started in 1924, when a Shanghai team was defeated here by the narrow. mar. win of 62 points. In 1925, In Shanghai, the decision was .revers- ed, and Hong Kong went down by 129 points. No competition were held in 1926 and 1927 owing to disturbed conditions at both ports. Both teams are very keen on win- ning the "rubbor," and are hard at practice, and billiards can be expected.

The teams have not yet been selected, but Hong Kong is oasured of n strong combination in the Osmund brothers, Yvanovich, E. da
