NORWEGIAN SHIPPING IN THE EAST.

The report of the Bruusgaard Klqatorud Dampskibsselskap states that the accounts for 1926 show a less satisfactory result than has been usual in recent years, which is materially due to the ap- preciation of the krone from 27.75.

Departures for the week totalled 43,840. Of this number, 8,532 went by steamer and 35,308 by smaller craft.

On enquiry from the Java China Japan Lijn this morning, the "China Mail" was informed that the s.s. With the advent of better weather, the prospects of salvage have mate- rially improved and it is hoped that the ship will be taken off in a few days,

The "Scotland Maru," having sustained damage in entering, har- bour from the west and then run aground in Kowloon Bay, has been re-floated and taken to n harbour mooring where she will be pletely discharged prior to going into. Kowloon Dock.
