68. Store Depreciation :—The following sums credited to the vote during the year: $18,640.78 being rebate on Freight Charges on stores purchased in England through the Crown Agents for the Colonies: $1,730.78 being the value of goods issued prior to 1936 and returned to Store.
The adjustment of stores values and reconditioning of old stores amounting to $20,426.61 have been debited to the vote.
The result showed a net expenditure on the vote of $55.05.

Maintenance of Vehicles Ferry Pier at Jubilee Street: The pier and hoists were maintained in good condition, the greater portion of the expense incurred under this head was for the replacement of fendering damaged by the ferry vessels. The ferry ramps and hoisting gears were maintained and operated in a satisfactory manner.

73. Maintenance of Buildings:-Government Buildings were kept in a good state of repair. Painting, colourwashing and repairs in accordance with the recurring programme were carried out to eleven buildings. Owing to financial stringency, the programme work to twelve buildings was postponed.
