187. New 6" Main from Taipo:-The new 6" supply main was completed in June, since when a greatly improved supply has been maintained. The following work was done during the year:- 3,305 feet of 6" spun iron piping and 352 feet of 6" wrought iron piping were laid along the Taipo Road between the 14 Mile stone and Taipo Market replacing 4" wrought iron piping. 1,230 feet of 3" wrought iron piping were laid from Taipo Market to Taipo Old Market and 525 feet of 2" wrought iron piping were laid in Taipo Old Market.

188. Victoria Hospital-Hot Water System to Maternity Block:- This work was referred to in paragraph 200 of last year's Report. The work was completed satisfactorily on 26th January.

189. Matsheds for Piggeries, Kennedy Town:- The work consisted of transferring matsheds from the old to the new site. The contract was let to Messrs. Woo Hop & Co. in July and completed a few weeks later.

190. The Demolition of the Albany, Robinson Road:- The work of demolition which was commenced in February and completed in April was carried out by Messrs. Kin Lee & Co. A credit of $480.00 was received from them for the old materials.
191. Construction of Landing Steps at Arsenal Street: A contract for this work was let to Messrs. Woo Hing in November 1934 and was completed satisfactorily at the end of February. The work consisted of the construction of a reinforced concrete wharf with landing steps to provide additional facilities for the public on this portion of the harbour front.

192. Removal of Trocas and Pinnacle Rocks:- This work was completed, a total quantity of 375.63 cubic yards of rock being removed at a cost of $8,313.47.
