207. Well at Cheung Chau School.-The work consisted of the sinking of a well 28′0′′ in depth. Tenders were obtained and the work was carried out in September by Messrs. Chiu Sing Kee in a satisfactory manner.

208. Un Long Nullah improvements.-This work was referred to in paragraph 174 of last year's Report. The invert to nullah was satisfactorily completed during the year.

209. Water Supply at Tsun Wan.-The main section of the work was completed on the 1st September since which date a constant supply has been maintained. This portion of the work consists of:-A concrete intake dam a few hundred yards above the bridge on the Shing Mun Access Road; a combined strainer and storage tank of approximately 5,000 gallons capacity; a 4′′ diameter wrought iron supply main from the intake to Tsun Wan Village, 6,400 feet in length; 2,193 feet of 4" cast iron distribution mains; 470 feet of 2" wrought iron distribution mains; 5 fire hydrants; 6 street fountains; an internal supply to the Police Station.
Later the supply was extended to the next village, the following additions being made:-1,875 feet of 4" cast iron distribution mains; 500 feet of 2′′ wrought iron distribution mains; 3 fire hydrants; 5 street fountains.

210. Main from Taipo Market to New Reservoir.-250 feet of 6" wrought iron pipe was laid from Taipo Market to the new reservoir, and 1,356 feet of 6" cast iron main from the road near the 141 mile stone to the strainer tank.
