201. Miscellaneous.-The following work was executed under this head-Erection of wire entanglements around Police Station at Kowloon Waterworks; Installation of post boxes at Sai Kung and Sha Tau Kok Police Stations; Alterations and additions at Tai Po Dispensary.

202. Water Works. The following works were undertaken under this head:-270 feet of 3" wrought iron pipe were laid at Taipo Old Market, and 50 feet of 5" and 310 feet of 6" wrought iron pipe at Taipo Market. 100 feet of 3" wrought iron pipe were taken up at Taipo Old Market.

203. Surfacing of Lin Ma Hang-Sha Tau Kok Road.-Surfacing with 4" macadam, tarpainted and chipped, was continued on the hilly portions of this road, the area covered being 8,200 square yards.

204. Road conditioning at Sha Tau Kok.-A continuation of resurfacing was undertaken between Kwanti Race Course and the 2nd milestone, an additional layer of 4" macadam being laid and tarpainted, for the full width of the road. The area covered was 9,000 square yards.

205. Improving and strengthening main roads for motor traffic. An additional layer of 4" macadam was laid and tarpainted between the 30th and 32nd milestones, Mei-po-Lok Ma Chau and on Tsun Wan Hill. The area covered was 39,000 square yards.

206. Wiring of Government Buildings.-Un Long School, Ping Shan Land and Bailiff's Office, Taipo Clerks' Quarters, D. O/North's Quarters, Sha Tau Kok Military Hut, Police Bungalow, and Ping Shan, Castle Peak and Sha Tau Kok Police Stations were completely wired for fans and lights; total number of points, two hundred and sixty-six. Eleven police recall signal lanterns were installed at Castle Peak, Tsun Wan, Sha Tau Kok, Shatin, Ping Shan, Sheung Shui and Taipo Police Stations.
