The work was commenced in May and the main Contract together with Furniture completed by the end of the year. A Lift shaft has been constructed but the Lift and Gear will not arrive from England until early in 1929. In December it was decided to construct a Porch to the Main Entrance of the building and this was commenced before the end of the year.
Two hundred and seventy-two fan and light points rewired. Ninety-eight fan and light points, sixteen heating points and thirteen bell points installed.
The Contractors for the whole of the work were Messrs. Sang Lee & Co.

204. Kennedy Town Revolver Range. This work consisted of the erection of a small hut for the storage of targets and the formation of butts for the purpose of an open air Revolver Range.
The work was commenced in August and completed in October.

205. Wireless Telegraph Station at Victoria Peak.-The work consisted of the erection of the first section of a one-storey building 60′0″ × 30′0″ with an Annexe containing lavatory accommodation.
The building is constructed of brick walls, with a flat concrete roof and concrete floor.
A Contract was let to Messrs. Kien On & Co. on 16th October and good progress was made with the work. The brickwork being completed and the concrete to the flat roof laid at the end of the year.
Wireless plant to the value of $24,000 was ordered and expected to arrive early in 1929.

206. Radio Office at P. & O. Building.—A portion of the ground floor of the P. & O. Building was rented for use as a Government Radio Office.
This necessitated the erection of glazed partitions, counters, public desks, telephone box etc.
Twenty-four fan and light points, 10 heating points and one motor were installed.
