236. Quarry Plant for the Quarry at Tsat Tsz Mui.-This was received in the Colony during the year.

237. Portable Asphalt Mixing Plant and Tractor.-This item was referred to in paragraph 126 of last year's Report. The appliances were indented for from the Crown Agents in 1923 and delivered in the Colony during the year.

238. Fire Alarms, Hongkong.--The scheme provides for the installation of thirteen fire alarm pillars at various points in the City. As the materials, etc., were not received until late in the year, the work of installation was not proceeded with.

239. Laying of a 25 pair Telephone Cable between Victoria Gap and No. 2 Pumping Station.-This work which commenced on March 14th was completed on May 24th. This cable has replaced the former aerial wires on the route in question.

240. Installation of a 100-line Telephone Switchboard in the Government Central Telephone Exchange.-This additional 100-line section was installed to cope with the steadily increasing work. The total capacity of the Exchange is now 300 lines.

241. Wireless Apparatus for the Rescue Tug and the Patrol Launch.-Two sets were delivered in the Colony during the year, and will be installed as soon as the vessels are ready to take the sea.
242. Anti-Piracy Wireless Set.-This is a standard Marconi 1 K.W. Q.G. Set, fitted with an automatic transmitter which could be set in operation by pressing a button or any buttons placed in various parts of the vessel. As an experiment it was set up on board the S.S. "Lung-shan" and satisfactory results were obtained.
