243. Temporary Store, Middle Road. This work consisted of enclosing an area of land 100 feet × 70 feet with a fence of American pine 6 feet in height.

244. Nathan and Gascoigne Roads, Improvement to the junction by the removal of portion of the hill.—This work, referred to in paragraph 234 of last year's Report, was nearing completion at the end of the year.

245. Installation of 1 K.W. Valve Transmitter.—This apparatus was delivered in the Colony in June, but, owing to the disturbed local conditions then prevailing, its installation was postponed. In December it was decided to instal it at the Royal Observatory in 1926.

Wireless Telephone, Installation at the Water Police Station, Tsim Sha Tsui, and the Police Station, Cheung Chau.—This was effected during the year, but its scope of operation was rather limited owing to the lack of traffic as the instruments are only brought into play when the aerial telephone lines become interrupted.
When further sets are installed on Police Launches, etc., the utility of Radio Telephony will undoubtedly become pronounced.
