Encloses copy of a letter from the War Oflice, in which Mr. Chamberlain cordially concurs, expressing warm appreciation of the offer of the Trinidad Volunteers but regretting that it is not possible to comply with their desire for active service.
Reports that the proposal to send further forces to South Africa was agreed to unanimously by the Legislative Assembly,
