Events during the Exercise
No "FULTUM" casualties received. however, the lining of one gunner's steel holmet became stuck to his hair and required medical assistance for removal.
Extra stretchers drawn from Ord were found to be rotten.
7.12.48 RAP of 2/10 GR well established
but insufficient tentage - two bivouac tents being used.
No MOs truck available and RAP equipment had been transported in ambulance car.
No jeeps fitted with stretcher gear available.
3 Gurkha "FU! TUM" casualties (two of them seriously wounded stretcher cases) walked into the RAP.
Second ambulance car detailed to report to Gurkha RAP at 1800 hrs failed to report at all during the Exercise.
Recommendation.
The method of storage of Steel Helmets to be checked: several steel helmets drawn for the "xercise appeared to have been recently painted or oiled storage by placing one hat inside another thus causes linings to become oily and useless..
All stretchers in Ord store to be inspected and in future stored onened out NOT rolled: wood work to be oiled.
MOs rust have at least 1 180 lbs tent for his RAP

ADMS to submit requirements to 0" Branch HQI F so that transport in 993 Cuy RASC can be earmarked.
Ambulance cars are for the transport- tion of sick and wounded only.
A minimum of two peeps per RA and Infantry Bn must be fitted ith stretcher gear. Action to be taken immed- iately.
RMO to check on unit stretcher bearers.
