Following your decisior that the future channel of command and responsibility for Army forces in Hong Kong will be War Office C.-in-C. ALFSBA G.O.C. Landforces Hong Kong, I have discussed the size and composition of the Pence Tim Garrison with G.0.0. Hong Kong.

2. In your Telegram 1403 of 4th April to C.-in-. Hong Kong you agreed to the retention of two inrentry Brigades until at least 1st January, 1947. It is important that the ultimate size and composition of the
