Regulation 9 of the principal regulations is amended by adding after paragraph (2) the following-
"(3) The operator of a public light bus shall ensure that at all times when it is being used for the carriage of passengers for hire or reward—
(a) it is kept in a clean and tidy condition:
(b) it has adequately displayed cards or posters showing
the fares to be charged on the vehicle;
(c) there is adequately displayed on the front of the vehicle a sign showing in English and in Chinese characters the destination of the vehicle.".
6. Regulation 11 of the principal regulations is amended by inserting after "omnibus", in the first place where it occurs, the Following-

Regulation 12 of the principal regulations is amended- (a) by being renumbered as paragraph (1) thereof;
(6) in paragraph (1), by inserting after "omnibus" the follow-
ing
" of a public light bus":
(c) in sub-paragraph (b) of paragraph (1), by deleting "the conductor to any passenger or to any other person" and substituting the following-
"any person":
(đ) by adding after paragraph (1) the following-

*(2) A driver of a public light bus, when stopping on a road for the purpose of picking up or setting down a passenger, shall not cause the vehicle to remain stationary on the road longer than is reasonably necessary for such purpose.".
Regulation 13 of the principal regulations is amended by inserting after “ompibus” the following-

Regulation 24 of the principal regulations is revoked and replaced by the following new regulation—
“General.
24. (1) A passenger or intending passenger on a public omnibus, a public light bus or a public car shall not-
(a) use obscene or offensive language or conduct
himself in a disorderly manner;
(6) enter or alight from the vehicle otherwise than by the doors or openings provided for such purposes,
(c) when entering or attempting to enter the
vehicle, wilfully and unreasonably-
6) impede any passenger seeking to enter or alight from the vehicle; or
(ii) behave in any other manner which is likely to delay the vehicle:
() enter or alight from or attempt to enter or alight from the vehicle while it is in motion;
(e) wilfully do or cause to be done with respect to any part of the vehicle or its equipment. or any accessory thereto, anything which is calculated-
() to obstruct or interfere with the work- ing of the vehicle or to cause injury, or
(ii) to cause injury, discomfort ar incon- venience to any other person:
() when the vehicle is in motion, distract the driver's attention or speak to him unless it is necessary to do so in order to give directions as to the stopping of the vehicle in an emergency or where no conductor is carried on the vehicle;
(g) give any signal which might be interpreted by the driver as a signal from the conductor to start or to stop the vehicle:
(h) spit upon the vehicle or from the vehicle, or wilfully damage, soil, deface or defile any part of the vehicle or any equipment thereon. or any accessory thereto;
(i) when in or on the vehicle, distribute printed. written or similar matter of any description or distribute any article for the purpose of advertising:
() wilfully remove, displace, deface or alter any number plate, notice board, fare table, route indicator or destination board or any printed or other notice or advertisement in or on the vehicle:
