Explanatory Note.

(This Note is not part of the by-laws, but is intended to Indicate their general purport),

By-law 2 of these by-laws cancels the existing by-law 10 which provides that all frozen confections shall be kept at a temperature below -2° Celsius, and replaces it with a new by-law which exempts soft ice cream from this requirement.

References in the principal by-laws to the Fahrenheit scale arc con- verted to the Celsius scale of temperature.

PUBLIC HEALTH AND URBAN SERVICES ORDINANCE. (Chapter 132).

MILK (AMENDMENT) BY-LAWS 1970.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 56 of the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance, the Urban Council has made the following by-laws-

1. These by-laws may be cited as the Milk (Amendment) Cluation.

By-laws 1970.

2. By-law 13 of the principal by-laws is amended by deleting

"SQ" Fahrenheit" where it occurs in paragraphs (1) and (2) and substituting the following-

"10% Celsius".

3. The First Schedule to the principal by-laws is amended-

(a) in sub-paragraph (a) of paragraph 1-

(i) by deleting "145" and substituting the following-

**63";

(ü) by deleting "150 degrees Fahrenheit" and sub- stituting the following-

"66 degrees Celsius"; and

(iii) by deleting 50 degrees Fahrenheit" and sub-

stituting the following-

"10 degrees Celsius", and

(b) in sub-paragraph (b) of paragraph 1--

(1) by deleting "161 degrees Fabrenbeit" and sub-

stituting the following-

*72 degrees Celsius": and

(10) by deleting “50 degrees Fahrenheit" and subati- tuting the following-

"10 degrees Celsius"; and

(c) in sub-paragraph (b) of paragraph 2 by deleting "212 degrees Fahrenheit" and substituting the following-

*100 degrees Celsius".
