Census Order, 1960.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Census Ordinance. 1960, the Governor in Council has made the following Order--
1.
This Order may be cited as the Census Order, 1960.
Citation,
2. A pilot marine census shall be taken at 2 a.m. on the 23rd Census order. day of January, 1960, of the population dwelling afloat in small craft
which are, at such time, within the limits of the following places-
(a) Victoria Harbour, west of a line drawn between the Star Ferry
Pier, Hong Kong, and the Star Ferry Pier, Kowloon;
(b) Yau Ma Tei Typhoon Shelter:
(e) Aberdeen Harbour;
(d) Tai Po Harbour.
3.
The purposes of the said census are-
Purpose of
(a) to obtain by sample an estimate of the population dwelling afloat in small craft based upon the places specified in paragraph (2); and
(b) to test the organization for the taking of census under the
Census Ordinance, 1960,
