URBAN COUNCIL ELECTIONS (REGISTRATION OF ElectorS) (AMENDMENT) (No. 2) RegulaTIONS, 1955.

In exercise of the powers conferred by subsection (1) of section 23 of the Urban Council Ordinance, 1955, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations-

1. These regulations may be cited as the Urban Council Citation. Elections (Registration of Electors) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regula tions, 1956.

2. The Urban Council Elections (Registration of Electors) Addition Regulations, 1955 (hereinafter referred to as the principal regula- tions) are amended by the addition after regulation of the 1A. following new regulation-

1A. In these regulations, unless the contest other- wise requires

"identity card" has the meaning assigned by section 2 of the Registration of Persons Ordinance; "identity card number" means the reference number

appearing on an identity card. ".

(c) by the deletion in sub-paragraphs (d) and (c) of paragraph

(4) of the brackets and words "(if any)";
