PUBLIC HEALTH (FOOD) ORDINANCE, (Chapter 140).

RESTAURANTS AND FOOD STALLS (AMENDMENT) BY-LAWS, 1955.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Public Health (Food) Ordinance, the Urban Council has made the following by-laws→→

1.

These by-laws may be cited as the Restaurants and Food Citation. Stalls (Amendment) By-laws, 1955.

2. By-law 5 of Part IV of the Restaurants and Food Stalls Rescission By-laws (hereinafter referred to as the principal by-laws) is and replace- rescinded and replaced by the following-

(a) comprise the whole or part of a building of substantial construction, the whole of the ground surfaces of which shall be in accord- ance with the provisions of subsections (1) and (2) of section 20 of the Buildings Ordinance, or of any legislation subsequently enacted in revision or amendment thereof: Provided that in the case of buildings erected before the year 1936, the Council may waive or modify the requirements in the matter of ground surfaces;

(b) in the case of upper floors have floor surfaces of non-absorbent material finished off smooth; (c) are provided with lyproof latrine accom- modation but this requirement may be waived or modified in respect of cafes licensed as such on or before 28th February, 1955;
