IMPORTATION AND EXPORTATION ORDINANCE. (Chapter 50).

[MPORTATION AND Exportation (Reserved COMMODITIES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1955.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 3 and 4 of the Importation and Exportation Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations-

1. These regulations may be cited as the Importation and Citation, Exportation (Reserved Commodities) (Amendment) Regulations,

1955-

2. The First Schedule to the Importation and Exportation Amendment (Reserved Commodities) Regulations, 1954, is amended by the of First addition thereto of the following new item-

Frozen or chilled beef, mutton and pork (including veal, lamb, and all offals)."

The importation of frozen and chilled beef has, up to the present. been prohibited except under licence issued by the Director of Commerce & Industry by virtue of the Import Control Order, 1947, The principa! regulations which now control its importation provide for the "issue" of Ticonces to importers, who will be required to maintain stocks of meat in the Colony.
