No goods are to be received fri delivery beyond Surs, excepting those intended for shipment intu the Peninsular and Oriental Company's Steamers at Alexandria; all other Goods are to be retired ut Suez, and the Duty prid thereon by the Consignees. REMARKS ON PARCELS. GrAKANTER FREIGHT. In addition to the, Freight on Parcels to Malta, Marseilles, Gibraltar, and Southampton, a Guarantee Freight is to charged on each Parcel at the rate of 15 cents for every $ value. The minimum charge for Gun Bules Freight
is 50 cents.
The Guarantee Freight is waived in the case of Parcels of Samples, declared in writing before ship
ment as of no value.
Parcels andes 5 inches to be charged at the discretion of the Company's Agent.
Shipments must be made is accordance with the Campany Regulations at this Agency,
The Marks, Numbers, and Port of Destination must be distinctly marked on every Package. Overland Packages should as little as possible 'exceed 100 lbs. in weight, or they may be unavoid- jably detained in Egypt.
A written Declaration of the Contents and Value of the Goods is required by the Company and must be delivered by the Shipper to the Company's Agent with the Bills of Lading. A wrong description of
tenta, or false declaration of value, shall reelase the Company from all responsibility in case of loas, seizure, or detention, and the Goods shall be charged double freight on the real value, which freight shall be paid previous sa delivery.
Packages containing Raw Silk, Silk Piece Goods, and Measurement Goods, most be matted and Parvels in excess of 1 foot are to be charged at the rattaned externally, in addition to the nonal inner rate of $4,80 per foot to Malta, Marseilles, Gibraltar package. Goods for Overland transit must be dist- and Southampton, with Guarantse Freight as above.inctly marked, both on the outer and inner packages “Should the weight of Parcels to those parts exceed 20 [s, to the cubic foos, a charge of 10 cents per Ib. is to be made, in addition to the Freight. Parcela, deliverable in England, will be cleared through the Custom House at Suthampton, and forwarded to their several addremes by the Company, to whom Duty and all other charges incurred will have to be paid.
No Parcel Ticket form is to be granted for Fast Count of Chine, Straits, Ceylon, Bombay, Madrne, Calcutta, Aden, Maurition, Reunion, and Australia, but a Single Bill of Lading, on the Black or Red form, as the Shippers may decide, and such docament will be signed by the Agent. Should the Red form of Bill of Lading be chosen, the rate of additional Freight is to be charged the shippers, in conformity with the Tariff authorised by the Company. When the value of a Package exceeds $480, Bill. of Lading will be issued on the Company's Black on Red form, at the Shipper's option.
Parcela in excess of one foot are in be charged at the rate of $1.50 per foot to East Lost of China, $3.36 per foot to Singapore and Penang, $3,84 per foot to Ceylon, Bominy, Madras, Calcutta, and Aden, and $4.32 per fast to Saez, Mauritius, Reunion, and Australia.

CAUTION TO SHIPPERS-GOODS OF A DANGEROUS NATURE
The Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company hereby give notice that they will not receive on board, of their vessels any Goods of a Shippers will be dangerous or damaging nature, required to sign a Declaration for Parcela: Mer- chandise, Specie, &e. (form of which can be obtained [st the Company's (offices), that the packages they may offer for shipment do not contain liquids, oils, spirits, or any articles of a dangerous or damaging character; and their attention and that of passengers is specially directed to the following clause in the Merchant Shipping Act. 1854, sec, 329:—
