Apia, May 30, 1886.
I HAVE the honour to inform you that I called yesterday personally upon ese and his followers in Aana, and that he is willing to submit to our agreement, with a view to prevent the outbreak of hostilities. The people of Manono and leaga, having, in obedience to King Malietoa's orders, left yesterday their 18 on the left side of Aana, Tamasese has now ordered his people to leave the the east boundary to-day, so that nothing will prevent the Tuanasaga war If this effect of the agree- rom withdrawing from their position to-morrow.
B carried out, the war parties at present in Aana will disperse, and return on sday the 2nd of June to their respective homes, so as to have the status quo stored. You will oblige me by informing King Malietoa of this result of my tions, and I shall always feel happy to further co-operate with you for the e of maintaining the peace.
