WHEREAS by certain Letters Patent under the Great Seal of Our United Kingdom of Great Britain Preamble. and Ireland, bearing date at Westminster the Thirty- first day of December, 1850, in the Fourteenth Year of Recites Letters Our Reign, issued by Us for the Government of The cember, 1850, MOST DISTINGUISHED ORDER OF SAINT MICHAEL AND SAINT GEORGE, We did Ordain, Direct, and Appoint, qualification of that if at any time thereafter any occasion should arisc, rendering expedient any Increase to the Number of Members comprised in all or any of the Classes of the said Order, it should be competent to Us, Our Heirs and Successors, by any Statute or Statutes to be there- after made, in the manner and form prescribed in and by the Letters Patent therein recited, and bearing
