CHAPTER X-INSULTS TO RELIGION AND DISTURBING

RELIGIOUS SERVICES.

116.-Insult to a Religion.

Any person who does an act which consider as a public insult on their religion, with the intention that they should consider the act such an insult; and any person who does an unlawful act with the knowledge that any class of persons will consider it such an insult, is guilty of a misdemeanour, and also of a simple offence.

117.-Assaulting a Minister of Religion,

Any person who

(1) by a threat or force, obstructs or prevents any minister of religion in or from lawfully officiating in any place of religious worship, or in or from the performance of his duty in the lawful burial of the dend ; or

(2) assaults or arrests upon, or under the pretence of executing, any civil process, any minister of religion who to his knowledge is engaged in, or is about to engage in, or is officiating or performing his duty as 'aforesaid, or is going to officiate or perform his duty as aforesaid, of is returning from so officiating or performing his duty,

is guilty of a misdemeanour; and also of a simple offence.

118.-Disturbing religious Worship.

Any person who wilfully and without lawful excuse disquiets or disturbs any meeting of persons lawfully assembled for religious worship, or disturbs or molests any person law- fully officiating at such meeting, or any person or persons there assembled is guilty of a simple offence.
