CHAPTER VIIA.-OFFENCES CONNECTED WITH THE POST OFFICE,
89.-Transmission by Post.—Telegram.—Mail Conveyance.— Postmaster.
Anything is in the course of transmission by post within the meaning of this chapter at any time after it has been posted, or delivered to any person employed by, or acting on behalf of, the Post Master of A.B., in order that it may be transmitted by post, and before it is delivered to some one who is not, or is not acting as, such person. And anything coming to A.B., and being under the control, or in the possession, of any person employed by, or acting under the orders of, the postal authority any part of His Majesty's dominions, or any foreign country, in order that it may be transmitted by post, before it is de- livered as aforesaid; and any telegram before it is delivered as aforesaid, shall be deemed to be in the course of transmission by post.

A "telegram" shall, in this chapter, mean any message sent by means of any instrument the property, or under the con- trol, of the Telegraph Company or the Post Master, and any document containing any such message, or any message intended so to be sent, which is under the control or in the possession of any person employed by, or acting on behalf of, the Post Master or the Telegraph Company.
A mail conveyance includes any vehicle, or ship, or boat, in which anything is for the purposes of transmission by post, whether it is owned or controlled by, or by any person acting on behalf of, the Government of A.B., or the postal authority of any part of His Majesty's dominions, or of any other country.

The "Post Master in this chapter shall mean the Post Master of A.B. (or as the case may be).
90.—Stopping a Mail Conveyance.
Any person who stops any mail conveyance, or stops any person engaged in conveying or delivering any thing which is in course of transmission by post, with intent unlawfully to search for any such thing, is liable to penal servitude for life.
91.-Damaging Post Office Property or Telegraph.
Any person who, with intent to obstruct the delivery of any thing transmitted by post, damages or removes anything the property of the Post Master, or the Telegraph Company is guilty of felony.
--Misdelivery of or omitting to deliver Letters.
Any person whose duty it is, either by virtue of his employ- ment or by virtue of any contract, to deliver anything trans- mitted by post, who knowingly delivers it to any person to whom it is his duty not to deliver it, or who wilfully omits to deliver it to any person to whom it is his duty to deliver it, is guilty of a misdemeanour.
