10. It was agreed that Miss Cruddas be added to the Typists and Shorthand Writers Grade Committee, as representative of the temporary staff, in succession to Miss Batchelor, appointed to the permanent staff.
11. The Chairman stated that two members of the staff of the Copying Department had been recommended to the reasury and approved by that Bepart ment for presentation to the Civil Service Commissioners, with a view to their promotion to the Clerical Grade. He hoped that it would be possible to arrange later on to test further candidates. It was suggested that one of the two candidates had been recommended without being required to undergo any special 'test, but the Official Side did not think that a special ad hoc tea was indispensable when the fitness of the candidates had been satisfactorily established by other means.
