Transmits copies of Nos. 132, 175, and 187; presumes that the Portuguese Government should be asked to allow the matter to rest until it has been discussed at a conference.
Proposed Importation of Angora Goats and Mysore Bulls into Uganda. Reports steps being taken to obtain suitable goats, and conveys Mr. Stockman's suggestion with respect to the importation of bulls.
Preservation of Elephants. Remarks on the measures taken in Southern Nigeria, Aden, and the Gambia; suggeste prohibition of the sale of tusks under 30 lbs. în weight in Uganda, and enquires whether a return of ivory shipped from all African ports annually to Europe could be obtained, and a may pub lished showing all the game reserves in British territory in Africa.
Proposed Importation of Angora Goats and Mysore Bulls into Uganda. Transmits copies of Nos. 181, 185 and 191 and requests that the Government of India may be approached with a view to assisting the Commissioner to obtain the bulls required and that they may be submitted to the tests indicated.
Acknowledges receipt of No. 193 and states that a copy will be forwarded to the Government of India with a view to the direct supply of Mysore bulls.
