land, 118.

States that of the £55 voted by the Legislative Council, £35 is available for the purchase of slides and lectures on the United Kingdom and £20 for a lantern; and enquires how far this will go towards providing material for carrying out the scheme outlined in the Secretary of State's despatch of 13th December, 1906.

Acknowledges receipt of No. 48 and states the cost of providing material to carry out in Jamaica the scheme of visual instruction.

States that the Government of New- foundland will gladly co-operate with Mr. Fisher in furthering the objects of his mission, but he had apparently left the Colony before the receipt of No. 47; regrets that his stay at St. John's was so short, and that there was so little opportunity of assisting him.
