Informs him that the Advisory Board recommend a grant of £100 for two years to assist in establishing a research studentship in medical entomology at Cambridge, and that the Secretary of State approves on the conditions stated.

Acknowledges receipt of the Report of work done from November, 1906, to April, 1907, and states that the same has been read with interest by the Advisory Committee.

States, in reply to No. 20, that in view of the practical difficulties involved, the Advisory Committee of the Tropi- cal Diseases Research Fund are unable to advise the Secretary of State to urge the adoption of the proposed extended course of instruction on the Governments of the Tropical Colonies and Protectorates.

States conditions on which a grant of £1,000 would be made towards the cost of maintaining an entomologist in connection with the work of the London School.

Expresses gratification at the assistance notified in No. 34: enquires whether he may select a man and whether he is to be appointed for one year or two years.

Authorizes him to select a student for the appointinent and to appoint him for one or two years at his discretion.

Authorizes the payment to Dr. Nuttall of the sum of £100 in respect of the grant of £100 per annum from the Fund towards the establishment at Cambridge University of a Research Studentship in Medical Entomology.
