Co-operation with United States Information Services.
#1
You will like to know that at the Anglo-American discussions referred to in paragraph 1 of the Foreign Office despatch enclosed with my communication under reference, it was agreed that arrangements should be made for close co-operation in the use and exchange of official documentary films.
2. It was noted, for example, that U.S.I.S. have made about 25 aimple films of the cartoon type for use in relatively unsophisticated countries (primarily Latin America) and that the Americans felt that these could be adopted for use elsewhere. It was also suggested that where one information service had better facilities for showing films (e.g. film vans) than the other it might be in the common interest to show one another's films. exchange of films might also provide a greater variety of programmes.
3. You may wish to consider co-operation on these lines.
