YUNG HWA RE-ORGANISATION.

Lee Tau Yung has recently re-organised the Yung

Hwa Motion Picture Industries Ltd., which is the largest and

best-equipped studio in Hong Kong.

As a result, Yung Hwa is

at present almost entirely liberal, with the exception of its

production department, which is unfortunately headed by a

well-known pro-Communist director, P.K. Cheng. Yung Hwa is

reported to be preparing for production of a historical film,

'Madame Yang' some time in September.

RISE OF LUNG MA.

Recently the Wen Hwa Film Company of Shanghai has

branched out in Hong Kong and used Lung Ha, or Dragon and

Horse, on its local signboard. It is a pro-Communist set-up with two well-known pro-Communist directors, Fei Hio and

Chu Shih-ling, in charge of its local production. Lung Ma

has already signed a six month' contract with Great Wall

for sub-leasing one of Great Wall's rented studios.
