Dear Cleobury,

Would you please refer to your secret letter Pol.19091/49 of December 29th, 1949, about the entry of Pakistanis into Fong Kong?

2. We have now received confirmation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Commonwealth Relations that effective arrangements for screening entrants to Hong Kong on the lines set out in our letter to Creagh-Coen, ib:G/52 of the 17th January, 1950, copied to you, have been introduced by the Government of Pakistan. The Government of Pakistan would be glad if their assurance on this matter could be passed to the Goverment of Hong Kong.

3.

I enclose for information a copy of a memoranium which the Government of Pakistan have issued to all Pakistan passport issuing authorities in Pakistan and abroad. This conforms with the request of the Goverment of Hong Kong in their telegram No:168 Saving of the 3rd August, 1949, repeated to C.R.0. No:118 Saving.

Yours sincerely,

F.ři.
