Entry of Indians and Pakistanis into Hong Kong.
The United Kingdom High Commissioner in Karachi has now received confirmation from the Government of Pakistan that effective arrangements for screening entrants to Hong Kong have been introduced and they have asked that their assurance on this matter be passed to you.
I enclose for your information a copy of the Copy Memorandum which the Government of Pakistan have issued
to all their passport issuing authorities in Pakistan and abroad. This as you will see conforms with the proposals in your Secret savingram No.118 of the 3rd August, 1949.
