Dear Sharp,
With further reference to your letter, Ref. 19441/47/5 of the 12th February and my reply of the 16th February, the only approach we had in Hong Kong was on the 3rd March, enquiring about the amount of space which could be made available in our new building for additional broadcasting requirements.
Yesterday I had a telephone enquiry from Major Frampton of the F.B.I.S. about the possibility of loaning transmitting time in Hong Kong for Voice of America Broadcasts. I gave him brief details of the plant which exists in Hong Kong, not only for normal broadcasting, but also for radio telephone purposes, but I warned him that at the present time all this plant was fully loaded.
I suggested that
his official enquiry might be addressed to the
Government of Hong Kong.
